Still wondering what to do for the March Break? We found some amazing indoor and outdoor activities that you and your children will enjoy!

Indoor Fun

Funhaven Family Fun Centre is located just minutes west of downtown Ottawa. Funhaven offers a laser tag arena, mini-bowling lanes, indoor roller coaster, bumper cars and arcade!

The Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum is showcasing the art of espionage, disguises and breaking codes with this months exhibition.Children get to participate in the different activities to become the perfect spy. Just 30 minutes from west of downtown Ottawa in Carp.

The Canadian Museum of Nature has a wonderful exhibit going on right now called Butterflies in Flight where you can walk around with hundreds of fluttering butterflies and feed them! You can also check out the remainder of the museum like the Activity Zone or Amazon 3D movie!

The Museum of Science and Technology has recently opened it’s doors after 3 years of renovations. Head over to explore the locomotives, famous Crazy Kitchen and the Children’s Innovation Zone and Exploratek maker studio.

Little Ray’s Nature Centre is where you can get up close and personal with some of the most famous reptiles in the world! Get hands on experience and education with bats, pythons, alligators, cobras and much more!

Outdoor Adventures

Parc Omega is located in Montebello, Quebec and is a large wildlife park that immerses visitors with Canadian wildlife and First Nations’ history. This Canadian safari is a natural habitat to deer, elk, bison, caribou and wolves. There are also demonstrations during the break that includes chainsaw wood carving, wagon rides, and maple taffy pulling!

Camp Fortune is located in Chelsea, Quebec and offers downhill skiing for all ages. During the break the camp is offering two hour lessons,open skiing in the afternoon and a lift ticket is valid for the day.

Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush is west of Ottawa and offers the traditional sugar bush experience, including tours of the syrup making operation, meals in the pancake house and wagon rides. You can also check out the museum as well that is located next to the restaurant.

Mount Pakenham is located 45 minutes west of Ottawa offers a great place to spend the day in the snow. You can go tubing, snowshoeing, skating or skiing!

The Agriculture and Food Museum is celebrating all things Spring with their Barnyward Brreak! There will be demonstrations on how to cook with maple syrup, playing the wood spoons and some tasty treats like maple taffy on the snow!
